(no subject)

I took a spur-of-the-moment trip up to IL to visit anastras, last weekend, as taytheer had to run over to WA to provide moral support for her Mother, as her estranged Grandmother is in the process of passing away. He gets lonely and listless without Tay, so I wanted to keep him company and get away from it all in the process. It was a good, relaxed kind of weekend; just what I needed, and I hope I was at least a mildly entertaining guest. ;-P As a belated second half of my birthday present (the first half being a shopping spree at Granny B's), he made me the proud owner of Series 2 of Doctor Who. From this I shall derive many nights of squee.

I was going to hang out with our friend Rick, this evening, and bring my copy of Battle Royale to watch, but I failed epically at waking him up... That or he failed epically to set his alarm clock. Oh well. So, instead, I had a nice long hike at the wildlife preserve (the ground was squelcy in places, but daffodils are starting to bloom, and I saw a blue heron), looked around one of the local shops and found a really cool shirt on sale, then took myself out to eat. Not the day I'd planned, but a good one anyway. ^_^

Incidentally, this is really cool. I guess Tim Burton is using this as inspiration for an upcoming project.

And I really really want one of these things. This stands as proof that part of me will never outgrow dolls. :-|

Must run, now. Little Sis wants me to take her out to get chocolate. ;-P
