Your result for The Mega Harry Potter Character Test...

Ron Weasley

Don't fight it...it is who you are!

You always try to help friends and stand up for what you believe is right. You aren't the most intelligent of the bunch, but you make up for this in other ways.

Well, it's true on the friends bit, and the standing up bit. I will say, though, that I do have my moments in the intelligence department. :-? Not who I would've thought, but I suppose "Weird-unholy-cross-between-Snape-and-Luna-Lovegood" wasn't really an option. ;-P

So, The Watchmen was pretty fan-smegging-tastic, imo. They kept a lot of the things I thought they'd probably cut--i.e. the nudity (most notably Dr. Manhattan going full-monty through most of the movie, in all of his blue glowing glory), the violence (generally I can sit through a horror or action film without batting an eye, but there were some instances in this one that actually managed to make me wince) and the morally ambiguous ending. They did change a bit of it--no tentaclly alien menace--but I think what they did instead actually managed to make it a little more thought-provoking, given the metaphores associated with a particular character. I was kind of sad to see that they did cut most of the scenes involving Rorschach's psychiatrist, and the murder of the original Nite Owl. I hope to see them in the Director's Cut, being as time won't be a concern, there.

I was very happy with Rorschach, and I thought the rest did a good job too. The Dr. Manhattan in my head was a little more distant, but different is good, here. The actor brings him across as inhuman, but it's just the slightest bit more innocent as opposed to merely cold. The original Silk Spectre was a little off, I thought--her lines sounded like just lines, to me--and I think the guy who played Ozymandias was a bit hammy. However, overall, I think this movie was an unflinching tribute to the source material. It's pretty plain that any changes they did make were not to please the censors, for which I commend them. I definitely look foreward to making plans for a second viewing. :-)
