Oct. 6th, 2004 11:18 pmI'm back from my days off, and feelin' groovy :-) Octoberfest was very enjoyable. My cousin and his girl tried aligator... It's not too bad, if you're the meat-eating type--tasted like Italian sausage, the way they had it prepared and seasoned. I wish I could've had more than one evening out in the middle of everything--and that I'd had more money to throw away on the event. Some of the artisans there had lovely jewelry, pottery and suchlike to sell. The henna artist had some great designs to offer this year.
*shivery sigh* Halloween is only 25 days away! I've got my costume all planned out for the event at Jamie's theater. Most of it I've already got, and it'll only take $10 to get the things I don't. This year the big $$$ goes to Jamie's costume. Last year he went to get himself a costume and came back with a green velvet renaissance dress for ~me~... silly boy *sighs* But such a darling. Since I've already got my costume planned out, this year, he has no choice but to indulge ~himself~ for a change MWAHAHAHAHAHA! My master plan is in place.
Watched that movie "Saved" last night... Our friend Hatfield seems to think that I disliked it, being as I'm Pagan. (In spite of the fact that I've told him otherwise. Actually I thought it was pretty decent, had a good, open-minded moral.) The only time I ever have anything against Christians is if it's the ones who are on one of those "everyone else is going to Hell" kicks... or the ones who use their religion as an excuse to act like they're better than everybody else. That's the only time I have anything against anyone, generally speaking.
I, for one, can speak as someone who's been on both sides of the fence: we are as loved, and our prayers are heard and answered just as much regardless of what name we call the Divine. It seems to me that it's the love and the faith ~behind~ it all that's important.
