Monday and other musings

Monday was fun. Mom arived around 6 o'clock (excellent, as I was half afraid she'd find a reason to stay home). We went to the pub and ordered their chicken ranch pizza. Best frickin' pizza I've ever had! We played the jukebox, hippie tunes. Then we went and had a few rounds of pool... In between we drank a mudslide or two and got hit on by Mexicans who went home alone and sad. After the last game of pool, we went and got a room so Mom wouldn't have to drive home tipsy. Listened to alt. rock and light jazz and talked half the night away, then Mom went to sleep. Being a night owl, I sat and meditated/"day"dreamed for a few hours, then nodded off. We've decided to do this kind of thing about once a month.
Oktoberfest is this weekend, meaning most of downtown is roped off for flea markets, craft sellers, carnival rides, and booths selling just about every edible substance known to man. Good fun, there too. My cousin and his girl are coming down Saturday, so I'll be in the melee that day. Until then, I must wait. I pity my Sweetie; he has to work all weekend but Sunday, when everything is packed up and taken away 'till next year.
But what a way to kick off the Halloween season! I wish it came more than just once a year! This year I'm going to be Yo Mama Death--dress up in black velvet and a corset, put flowers in my hair and paint my face like a skull. FUN FUN FUN!
