I previewed The Grudge tonight (one of the perks of having a husband who manages a movie theater). It was everything I'd hoped it'd be. I hope more Japanese-flavored horror movies get made, as long as the same care is put into their making as it was for The Ring and this one. Excellent, excellent movie! It even made me jump a few times, and most movies can't do that. The trailer for the Ring's sequel was with it, and I can't tell if it'll be as good as the first one. It doesn't look bad, though.
We bought Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. ~There's~ a cool movie, too. Such creativity! I love stuff like that!
Jamie bought the Hellboy special eddition. In the special features, there's a preview for a movie called Mirror Mask written by Neil Gaiman. It's about time! Gaiman has been a favorite for quite some time. I'm glad that his genius is making it into the movies. (And it's being made by Jim Henson, makers of Labyrinth and Dark Crystal--double great!!!)
I heard that they'd made Neverwhere into a mini series in England. Some day I'll see it, or maybe they'll make a movie of it too. I've also heard that a Sandman movie is supposedly in the making, that there's a website for it and everything, but I can't find the derned thing.
Clive Barker is getting back into movie-making, which makes me very happy. Weaveworld, Frankenstein in Love and a bunch of his other stories will be made. I think that'll be cool. Weaveworld was the first work of Barker's that I read, and it's still pretty high up on my favorite books list.
