On a related subject, I was watching some free porn earlier...



...and thinking about cumshots. As I understand it, they originated as a means of proving that the sex is "real" and not faked. Meanwhile, the women involved are faking all over the place. (I don't recall the exact statistics, but they're only actually coming maybe 20% of the time or so.) Two (and a half) things:

1.) This knowledge kind of makes the (nowadays almost obligatory, it seems) part where the guy sprays spunk all over the woman's face and breasts feel a bit like adding insult to injury in an "Oooh, look what I get to do!" kind of way. I've always found that part to be distasteful, and I think that's been the subconscious reason why. Because, even before I had a general idea of the statistics, I kinda know a faker when I hear one.

1 1/2.) I also think that's part of why I prefer hentai. Aside from the fact that they generally have a bit more plot than live-action porn, manage to have better acting, and occasionally there's even actual affection between the characters, well... everybody's faking in those, so the playing field feels a bit more even.

2.) As relatively easy as it is to get a man to come, it really doesn't seem like such a boast to show it. Now, I would actually pay money .... if I had money to be spending on porn right now... for porn that guaranteed the woman was coming. Because, let's face it, that's, generally speaking, a bit more of an accomplishment. Not to mention it might be a bit educational for those who want to get pointers on how to do it.

One of those persistent annoyances I had when I was dating was the need men trained on porn had for loud fake orgasm groans like in the Porn. I would be enjoying my self, making natural happy sounds and they would interrupt to ask me to act. *facepalm*

I know what you mean. Nobody's actually asked me to make sounds, but I've on more than one occasion been asked "what's wrong?" and/or been met with an attitude of "why are we even doing this?" for not caterwauling until my throat was sore from the very first thrust.

Blah.

More cases of people expecting real life to be just like in fiction. It makes my head hurt.

Alas. I like the natural, softer sounds of pleasure. I like reading my lover(s) body language and facial expression to better pleasure them. I like letting myself get carried away by the endorphins.

There is nothing wrong with loud if that's how you are wired, but the first few years I was active, loud would have risked exposure and I doubt I would have been a natural screamer anyway. I mean, I don't scream on roller coasters either. I'm not silent in bed or anything, but I'm not wired to scream and faking it is distracting.

I agree with you. I always think of the money shot as an insult, to me, the next closest thing to a money shot is spitting in her face... and another issue I have besides the incredibly fake and unbelievable moaning is the hard slamming. Now don't get me wrong, I occasionally enjoy rough sex from time to time but some porns make it seem to the male that its the only way to have sex. Just slamming away isn't really appealing to me and I usually have my hubby skip foward because its really not doing anything for me...
