books and other fun thingies ;-)

Was of two minds about a couple questions (so much can be framed in the context of "yes /and/ no" :-?) So many ruddy choices!! *frustrated grrrrr* Well here are a /couple/ anyway.... though I could easily go for three or four... :-P

You're One Hundred Years of Solitude!

by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Lonely and struggling, you've been around for a very long time.
Conflict has filled most of your life and torn apart nearly everyone you know. Yet there
is something majestic and even epic about your presence in the world. You love life all
the more for having seen its decimation. After all, it takes a village.

Hmmm... well, I /do/ have a slight fascination with destruction, and I /do/ think it makes me like creation all the more... :-? I don't think I can say that everyone I know has been torn apart--or at least no more than life does to anyone...

You're Ulysses!

by James Joyce

Most people are convinced that you don't make any sense, but compared
to what else you could say, what you're saying now makes tons of sense. What people do
understand about you is your vulgarity, which has convinced people that you are at once
brilliant and repugnant. Meanwhile you are content to wander around aimlessly, taking in
the sights and sounds of the city. What you see is vast, almost limitless, and brings you
additional fame. When no one is looking, you dream of being a Greek folk hero.

hmmmm, intriguing... Well, I'm not /terribly/ vulgar, though I /can/ be when riled... :-? It is true that I elect to go for what I think people will understand and /still/ wind up being misunderstood half the time, lol

You're Spain!

You like rain on the plain, as well as interesting architecture and
a diverse number of races and religions.  You like to explore a lot, but sailing,
especially in large groups, never really seems to work out for you.  Beware of pirates
and dictators bearing bombs.  And for heavens' sake, stop running around bulls!
 It's just not safe!

By George, I think they've got it! *starts dancing*

You're a Butterfly!

Fragile and beautiful, you work as a good-luck charm for those
around you. People are always happy to see you and sometimes beseech you to reach
out to them as a blessing for their day. Though you are proud of your reputation,
you strive not to forget your own humble beginnings and remember that not so long
ago, everyone looked down on you. All you can do is appreciate the metamorphosis
you made now that you're on its good side. You adore stained-glass
windows.

You're a Lion!

Wherever your particular jungle might be, you are considered king or
queen. With a noble yet relaxed air, you are able to control those around you by
implied threat of force. There are those that would attempt to tame you, or even
call you yellow, but you know that you're far too bold for that. You've often been
seen hanging out on the steps of public libraries. Your favorite US state is
Maine.

amorous
Why, you saucy thing you! You are incredibly

sensual, amorous, and enjoy the pleasures of the flesh. You appreciate
your own body, and that of those around you, when you are have the

opportunity!

You also very likely love all the pleasures of

life, in the form of sumptuous fabrics, textures, foods, and even really
moving ideas and conversations.

As long as you are responsible, Hedonism rocks!

You are Nymphs and Satyr by Bouguereau.

Well, she /is/ one of my personal favourites of Shakespeare's... ^_^

"They say the owl was the baker's daughter. Lord, we know what we are, but know not what we may be."

Waterhouse
You are John William Waterhouse.
John William Waterhouse is among the most popular

Victorian artists whose paintings, like The Lady of Shalott, have become
celebrated icons of nineteenth century femininity. Yet Waterhouse himself
was a surprisingly enigmatic figure, about whose life comparatively

little is known. - [LINK REMOVED]

I'm in the mood to be creative and I have no materials with me.... My jewelrymaking things and sewing paraphernalia are back at the room; my painting supplies are at my mother's. I didn't even think to bring a ruddy notebook... *facepalm* It seems like inspiration only really hits me lately when I have no way of getting it out! I think my muse does this to me on purpose... Maybe I shouldn't've named 'im Puck... :-?

Pisces Horoscope for week of March 2, 2006

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

Of all the arguments made in favor of getting regular exercise, I rarely hear the one that's most important to me: Do it because it strengthens and tones the power of your will. When you get used to rousing yourself out of your physical inertia, the habit carries over into the mental and spiritual sphere. You find it easier to force yourself out of your comfort zones and push toward the next frontier. You're less likely to procrastinate and accept mediocrity, and you actually enjoy challenging yourself with worthy goals that require strenuous effort. It's now the will-building season for you, Pisces. You know what to do.

lol... My birthday's tomorrow, and he tells me to go get some exercise... :-P... Ah well, when ya need it, ya need it...
