I just called to make our reservations, and do you know what they tell me? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY TELL ME?????????  That they will not accept my employee discount at the Days Inn of my choice. MOREOVER they will not accept my employee discount at ANY Days Inns in Chicago! >:-[]

So, now I get to look for an affordable hotel.

*sighs*

On the bright side, there's more flexibility for location. We'll be paying four times what we should have to even in the best situation (roughly $100 a night if we want anyplace decent), but I'm going to get there... If I have to walk though broken glass barefoot I'm going to get there. There are three of us; split three ways the rates won't be so bad.

Heh, read it and weep.  Kinda funny, given the conversation I was just having. Then again, as I've said before, Brezsny's good! Now to figure out which demon this might be...?
