Oooh, those pretty hilly hills
Apr. 23rd, 2005 01:59 amGoing out to Brown County with my cousin tomorrow. She needs some time away from home. (If you had 4 kids all below 11 years of age, you would too!) We're going hiking at the Park, then up to Nashville (nifty rustic artsy little tourist town) to see about a hotel or B&B so we can stay the night and do more hiking/touristy things the next day.
This will be /FUN/!
(For those of you playing the home game, Brown County is probably the most beautiful place in Indiana. Very hilly, lots of trees and lakes and such. Just the thing for a pair of Fae to feel at home and do a little relaxing.
Particularly if we can find a hotel with openings and an indoor pool ;-P)
Raney is determined to get a little tipsy if we find a hotel. She hasn't had a chance to cut loose for a little over a year, so I don't see any harm. I may imbibe a little myself--we'll see. ;-)
The original plan was for Mom to come too, but she's starting her new job earlier than she thought, so she's training that day. It sucks, because she needs some time away, too. About the only way we can get her to really relax is if we get her out of that house.
My Mom the hermet.
It wouldn't be such a problem, but the neighbors seem to go out of their way to bug her, and she's a little high strung as it is.
Buggers. >:-(
It is good that she's got the new job, though. I think even that kind of time away from home will help her a little. Too many memories there, since Joe passed.
Ah well, here soon we'll get her out for some fun too.
