A Soul in the House of Dreams

The above is my first whack at non-wearable artsiness in a long while, and my second serious whack at mixed-media. It's all paper and glue, with a little ink and a handful of beads. I don't think it turned out too badly, but I can't seem to get over the feeling that it Needs Something. :-? It looks better irl, though, and I don't think this will be my last attempt.

Cassanova arrived, yesterday, and I watched it, last night at work. Really good. Tennant is still in a trickster-ish role, not entirely unlike The Doctor, but he's so good at it that I can't complain. Plus it takes a complete departure from The Doctor in that we get to watch him shag multiple people. He has a nice chest, and I'd very much like to lick chocolate syrup off of it. Peter O'Toole was also wonderful (but isn't he always?). All-in-all, it's funny and touching, and rather disturbing in a couple of places, namely, instances where he meets people who have taken decadence even farther than him and gone just a bit 'round the bend. I fully intend on watching it again, tonight. I give it four out of five Wombats.

I also made it halfway through Suicide Club before it was time to open the lobby for the breakfast crowd (which was marvelously un-crowd-like, this morning). I can already tell that it's as twisted as Battle Royale, if not a little bit more so. (And that's really saying something!)

And now, to bed. I shall be very surprised if I don't have some interesting dreams...
