(no subject)

Yesterday was an interesting day, all'round. Went galavanting around Bloomington with my little sister. We visited a bit with my friend Chaze, went to Saraga (the little Asian Market) and stocked up on Ramune soda (yum) assorted flavours of Pocky and some other tasty things. (I think I'd like to learn how to make proper miso soup of my own, now that I know a place that'll have the ingredients. :-?). Then we went out to eat at Asuka, and dropped off an order of rice so that Chaze wouldn't have to go without dinner. Heading over tomorrow to hang with him and his girl for a little while, and watch The Dark Knight, since they haven't seen it yet.

Then, while I was at work, my cousin Raney calls. I don't know if I've really talked about it, before, but her marriage is kind of a disaster. She and her husband hooked up waaay too young, and have basically been staying together "for the kids" (of which there are four) for several years now. He does nothing to help with the house or the kids, even though, on top of all that, she's taking classes at the community college; it's basically like he's her fifth son.

Well, apparently it's been over and done with for over a week, now. He's moved out, and they're getting a divorce, and she couldn't be happier. All-in-all, I think that bit of it is great... Where I get a little worried is where she tells me she was contacted by an old highschool boyfriend, who she's becoming romantically involved with in spite of his being married.

I don't really know the specifics, aside from the fact that it's completely behind the other woman's back--but that in and of itself does worry me a little... I'm all for open marriages and suchlike, but cheating doesn't sit well. I'm afraid she might be setting herself up for some pretty big drama with this... :-/
