Yay, work comp's working again! Hail Mary, full of win, who worketh second shift, sometimes.
To celebrate, I bring you a meme. :-P
To paraphrase slightly; comment here and I will choose six of your userpics. The idea is that you make an entry of your own discussing these userpics; what they mean to you or why you chose them and so forth. You then solicit comments and the cycle of exposition repeats itself.
xenogram wanted to know about these:

Of all my Lj-icons, this is the one I've kept most consistently since starting this thing. The peacock is associated with the Blue God of the Feri tradition, who I feel a particular connection to. While I am not presently an active student of Feri (I haven't found a new teacher since I had to discontinue my lessons, shortly before Gabriel's passing), it is a strong influence for me.

This icon's actually pretty new. I don't really know what the picture's from, but I like it. I like that it's beautiful, elegant, strange and a little bit creepy all at the same time. I think some of the best things in life are like that.

Another new one. There's just something about it, the way the eye is the only bit of colour, but it's fixed on the flower petals, as if enraptured. Sometimes it's a lot easier to see the beauty ouside of ourselves, than to notice our own.

Sort of a reminder to me. I need to be more disciplined, to work harder on my Japanese, among other things. I often can't help but feel that I should be farther along with things than I am. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a chronic condition. :-P

I have a corvid's tendency to hoard shiny things. (Just as an example, my collection of LJ icons has topped 3,000.) So, this is for posts/comments/moments/etc. that strike me as such.

My giggling nymph, for mischievous moments.
