Oct. 19th, 2008 08:04 pmYesterday was... well, mostly good. I went with my little sister, my step-mother and my 86-year-old great aunt up to the Garfield Park Conservatory in Indianapolis. It is a gorgeous place. Outside is a Versailles-esque sunken garden with a fountain, and inside is a rainforest, complete with birds, waterfalls, a couple of Koi ponds (the larger one being home to an enormous yellow and white speckled specimine we named "Jackpot"), orchids, various exotic trees, and (my favourite)the sensitive plant. I could live there, and now that I know the way will definitely be frequenting the place in the future.
Unfortunately, the trip had to be cut short, because, well...
( Cut for TMI and a little rant )
Moving on...
I was talking to Chaze the other day and he mentioned picking up martial arts practices again, now that his life's reasonably settled, for now. I think it'd be a good idea to learn what I can before moving out of the area. And Sugoicon's the weekend after next! I can't wait!!!
Between the Conservatory and the Con, I'm thinking I really should look into getting a digital camera. I'd love to be able to get more pics of things online... On the bright side, I made my final car payment today, so being able to afford a halfway decent one is looking pretty probable, after the Con... /:-)
