Are you sure of your sexual orientation? Or are you confused?
I am quite certain that I am a pansexual, though in some cases I'll just say I'm bi, if I don't feel like explaining the difference. A person's gender has a miniscule role in determining what attracts me to them. More than anything, it's their mind and how they express themselves though various mediums, be it writing, art, how they dress, how they live... And I have an almost ludicrously broad idea of what constitutes beauty or sexiness. I can get just as turned on by the nudity of trees in winter as I can by a nude picture of a person. So, yes, pansexual.
Are you open with your sexuality? Or is it a secret?
I'm open, but not brazen. If it comes up in conversation, I tend to be forthcoming, but I don't generally make an issue of it otherwise.
Who was the first person you told that you're a pansexual?
*ponders* Well, I didn't discover the term until a few years ago. I believe my first mention of it would've been here on LJ, so it'd be whoever was reading the entry. In person, I suppose it'd be my mother. It, wasn't as bad as it could've been, but, um... it took her some time to get used to the idea.
Is your hair short, medium, or long?
Long...:-? (It took me a minute to realize what this had to do with anything...)
Would you ever shave your head?
Probably not, as I like my hair, but I've given some thought to getting my hair cut to shoulder-length.
Do you own anything with the Gay Rainbow on it?
I think I've got some LJ icons in my collection with it...
Do you consider yourself a Stud, Androgynous, or Femme?
Somewhere between Androgynous and Femme, I'd suppose.
What type of people are you most attracted to?
In a physical/visual sense, I have a particular fondness for androgyny. Be it Tilda Swinton (particularly as Gabriel in Constantine *purrs*) or the myriad bishonen found in J-rock, it just makes me want to stare, and it makes me weak in the knees if they've got a good mind, on top of it.
What FAMOUS panexual is your favorite?
Hmmm... Captain Jack Harkness...? It's hard to say, actually, as I've not heard any famous people really describe themselves as pansexual...
Do you like watching The L Word?
Actually, I've never seen it. :-?
What is your favorite pansexual movie?
Are there movies that are specifically panexual..? *ponders* I suppose being bi is close enough. Queen Christina, then. Or perhaps A Home at the End of the World...
Do you have any Pride tattoos? If not, would you ever get one?
No, but I suppose I might.
Do you go to Gay/Lesbian clubs?
Actually I've never been to one. There aren't any around here that I'm aware of. :-? I'd like to go, though. Even better if it's a cabaret.
Would you ever be a Drag King? (If you're not already)
I haven't really got the build for it. Too busty.
What name would you go by if you did do Drag?
*ponders* Dee, after Desire in the Sandman Comics.
Have you ever been mistaken for a Male?
Nope.
Would you ever have a sex change to become a Male?
Nah, I don't think I'd be any more comfortable as one of them than I am as a female.
How do you feel about Homophobia?
Well, it's been proven in studies that most homophobes are fighting against their own homosexual tendencies. I think that it's an unfortunate sickness, which is a symptom of a sickness in our society.
How do you feel about Gays/Lesbians having children?
I think they're like anyone. Some would be suited to it and some wouldn't. Sexuality has nothing to do with what makes a decent parent.
If it were legal, would you marry another Female?
Sure, if she turned out to be the sort of person I'd want to spend my life with.
Have you ever attended a Gay Pride Festival?
No, but I'd like to. Next year's looking good for it, since I'll be living near Chicago.
Do you wear make-up?
Sometimes, but hardly every day. Even then, I rarely bother with more than mascara and lipstick, and even on special occasions don't do more than add eyeliner. I've actually been frustrated, lately, looking for a suitably pale foundation for the geisha-ish look I'll be going for in my kitsune costume. I've looked at normal stores for something of good quality, only to find that I'm already paler than the palest foundations they have. So, I get to start trying to make my way to a goth shop. I've heard that Manic Panic foundation isn't very good, though... Suggestions? (Reasonably priced, please? A traditional geisha makeup set is around $200, and I feel funny about paying more than $10 for cosmetics... Something good that's $20 or less?)
Do you carry a wallet?, or a purse?
Wallet. I go without the purse whenever I can manage it, and now that it's jacket weather, I only carry it around because it lets me keep my Japanese textbook with me wherever I go, so that I can study in spare moments...
Do you wear Male clothes?
I've been known to occasionally snag a shirt or something from the men's section. I got my black fedorah from there at the local Voldemart. :-)
Do you prefer wearing cologne instead of perfume?
Not really. Frankly, I'm not crazy about most perfumes, either. They both tend to reek a bit more strongly than I like. :-| When I do wear scent, it's normally in lotion form (Mmmm, Milk and Honey!) or those little vials of roll-on oils. (Jasmine or Egyptian Goddess.)
Do you have several piercings & tattoos?
No, not a piercing person. I do want a couple of tattoos, though. My first will be a stylized black ouroboros around my left ankle, and I'm thinking I'd like some kind of vine spiraling around my right forearm or wrist... It's just a matter of having time when I have the money. Probably will see to that after the move...
Do you have a crush on a female celebrity, if so, who?
Well, I've mentioned the ravishing Tilda Swinton. Shirley Manson, as well. And, just for a change, I must admit there's something about Nicole Kidman... Of course, given that I've never actually met any of them, this is based entirely on looks and the general feel one gets of them from TV/Movies/Music Videos. So, crush is a rather strong word for my attraction to them...
How did your parents handle you telling them about your orientation?
Dad took it pretty much in stride. (Of course, this is the man who shocked my stepmother by saying he'd "totally do" Captain Jack Sparrow.) Mom took a little time to get over her conservatively Christian upbringing.
Do you have more Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Pansexual/Asexual friends than you do Straight friends? I'd say it's about even.
Have you ever been gay bashed?
Well, when I was with Aurey on the Metra, we were hassled once for kissing in public...
Did anyone stop having contact with you after you came out of the closet?
Nope. I'd already grown apart from anybody who would've been likely to, by the time I realized it myself.
What is your favorite gay/lesbian asexual quote?
"Love knows no gender."
Do you believe you were born a lesbian bisexual asexual?
Yes, I would say so, though I didn't relize it until years later.
Are you proud? Or ashamed of your sexuality?
Between the two, I'd say proud, though really it's just a part of who I am, so kind of neither.
