Nihongo o hanashimasu ka?
Apr. 2nd, 2008 08:24 pmSo, the Hiragana flash cards are almost done. By cross-referencing my sources, I discovered that the site I was initially using had a couple of the symbols wrong, so I had to change a couple of my notes. (Fortunately it wasn't a huge difference, but enough of one that I probably would've embarassed myself if I hadn't caught it in time.) I've also found a couple of communities here on LJ which are meant to help.

Also, in spite of my efforts to follow the advice of Those In The Know, I've picked up a few phrases in romaji, in passing. They say learning Japanese with romaji (that is, written in Roman letters) would wind up holding a person back, but surely if I'm still learning all of the other things as advised it won't hurt. It's mostly this place's fault, anyway, but I will say that it's helping my pronounciation, being able to both see and hear the words... :-?
