It's time you acknowledged that you are a miraculous work of art, a masterpiece unlike any other ever created. I'm not pandering to your egotism by telling you that. When I say, "Be yourself," I don't mean the self that wants to win every game and use up every resource and stand alone at the end of history on top of a Mt. Everest-sized pile of pretty garbage. When I say, "Be yourself," I mean the self that says thank you to the wild irises and the windy rain and the people who grow your food. I mean the self who's joyfully struggling to germinate the seeds of love and beauty that are packed inside every moment. I mean the spiritual freedom fighter who's scrambling and finagling and conspiring to shower all of your fellow messiahs with your best blessings.

I'm very very worried for my cousin. She has cellulitis in one of her legs and it has a chance of needing to be amputated if it doesn't get better in a week. I... just... Christ... Energy-sending types, send some healing juju, please?

For my birthday, last Sunday, my family had a brunch and I got money (it's easier for them to give that than to get to know me well enough to figure out what kinds of gifts I'd like, but hey, can't complain. My little sister got me an actual gift, the most lovely-smelling lilac candle). To make the best of the money, I'm going to save half and use the other to go on a mini Amazon shopping spree this weekend. I shall be ordering this, this (yes, I know it's all over the place for free online, but I like having something I can actually touch and carry around with me and cuddle if I like), this, and this, and I'm thinking a CD or two are also in order. Long list to narrow it down from, there...
