Oct. 16th, 2007 10:52 pm1. What is more difficult for you; looking into someone’s eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someone’s eyes when they are telling you how they feel?
I'd say the former, especially if I don't really know how they'll react.
2. Think of the last time you were REALLY angry?
K, thinking of it. (Wow, good thing they didn't ask me to share what it was. :-|)
3. You are on a flight from Honolulu to Chicago non-stop. There is a fire in the back of the plane. You get enough time to make ONE phone call. Who would you call?
Aurey.
4. You are at the doctor's office and she has just informed you that you have approximately one month to live. (A) Do you tell anyone/everyone you are going to die? (B) What do you do with your remaining days? (C) Would you be afraid?
A.) Probably would make a few phone calls, yes. It'd be the polite thing to do.
B.)Kidnap Aurey and go backpacking in Europe.
C.) Well, I'm going someday anyway. Fear is kinda useless in that situation.
5. You can have one of the following two things: trust/love.
I'll take trust. You can't love a person you don't trust anyway, not really.
6. You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late one more time you get fired. What do you do?
I'm echoing Emmay on this--I can get another job. The puppy's only got one life.
7. You are unfaithful to your spouse/significant other. Do you tell him/her?
Yes.
8. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I'd want to tour the whole thing, honestly, or at least most of it. There are places on all of the continents I want to see, even Antarctica.
9. Think of the last person who you really knew that died. You have the chance to give them 1 hour of life back, but you have to give one year of your life. Do you?
That'd be my Grandmother... Given that she was in a coma before she passed, I don't see how an extra hour would help her at all. It was better that her suffering--if she was suffering, and I'd rather not gamble on that--ended.
10. Are you the kind of friend that you would want to have as a friend?
Yes, I'd say so, though I'd probably get on my nerves. Hell, I do that already.
11. Does love = sex?
This is going to sound fairly bad to some, but if I've learned anything from my experiences in that area, no, love and sex don't necessarily have anything to do with each other. Sex is a matter of the body. Love is a matter of the heart and soul. Yes, it is better to have a connection to your partner. For me, there has to be more than merely physical attraction to want to be that intimate with someone (hell, even to want to kiss them). However, connection and love are not the same thing.
12. Your boss tells your co-worker that they have to let them go because of work shortage, and they are the newest employee. You have been there much longer. Your co-worker has a family to support and no other means of income. Do you go to your boss and offer to leave the company?
It depends on how much I like the co-worker.
13. When and how was the last time you told someone HONESTLY how you felt?
Aurey and I had a pretty good heart-to-heart last night over IM. *kisses him profusely*
14. What would be harder for you, to tell someone you love them or that you do not love them back?
Tough one. :-? I'd say telling them I love them would be the harder, if it were the first time saying so.
15. What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up?
I'm always touchy about giving up freedoms. I didn't have many growing up, so I'm a bit protective of any that I can get now.
16. Excluding romantic love, when was the last time you told someone you loved them?
Today, when I went to bed. I told Mom I loved her.
17. If you had to go back in time and change one thing, if you HAD to, even if you had "no regrets" what would you change?
I believe I covered this in the last big long questiony meme. :-?
18. Imagine. It is a dark night, you are alone, it is raining outside, you hear someone walking around outside your window. Who do you call?
Well, I'd say police, unless I was expecting a visitor. :-?
19. Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying?
I'd say so, yeah...
21. Are you old fashioned?
In some ways yes, and in some way no. I like old fashions. Vintage clothing, art, that kind of thing. But my morals and ideals are decidedly not. Well, actually, I suppose it'd depend on how old fashioned we're talking, and in what part of the world. :-?
22. Which would you choose, true love with a guarantee of a heart break or have never loved before?
Having experienced heartbreak, I'd rather not again.
23. If you could do anything OR wish for anything that would come true, what would it be?
I would wish that everyone in the world realized that, generally speaking, differences, variation from the norm, and variety, are good things. I'd say most of the world's problems come from this hair-brained idea that anything that varies from what one considers normal is bad.
I'd say the former, especially if I don't really know how they'll react.
