The past couple of nights at practice were fun. Monday, I got to play with the big kids. ;-P I was the only underbelt there, the rest being either black belts or purple belts, so the excercises were geared pretty much toward advanced students. I learned what we're supposed to know after the fifteen basics we're still concentrating on in my belt level. And then today, we practiced knife fighting. It started as a sort of game. We each got a fake rubber knife and the object was to be the last person in the room standing (everyone against everyone else--including Master Gambrel). If you were "cut," even if just on the arm, you were out of the game. We played three rounds, and I actually won one of them... Not because I'm so skilled and fabulous, mind you, but because everyone pretty much killed everyone else, lol. Though I did manage to get Master Gambrel before he got me that round. The main thing to remember (for any fight) is, to quote Douglas Adams: DON'T PANIC.
I've been feeling particularly drawn to Athena lately, so I think I'll do a little work with her over the next few days...
Meanwhile work is continuing both on the backstory in The Mummy: Secrets of the Past and setting up Midnight Circus: Ouroboros. If anyone's into RP and writing, we'd welcome the players. /:-)
