Jan. 12th, 2007 03:45 amDescribe in detail the best meal you've ever had: | Honestly, I'd have to say that it's a tie, actually. :-? Last year Aurey and I spent a weekend in Bloomington, and went out to eat at The Little Tibet, and the Yellow Curry there is to die for. It's either that or just bout any breakfast he's ever fixed for me. (No kidding--his omelettes are fabulous no matter what he decides to put in them! He also makes a mean ginger-banana milkshake. :-| ) |
Say you're stranded on a desert island, there are two books floating towards you, you can only rescue one: one is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and the other is a book you've never heard of, which do you choose? | Hmmm, that's a tough one. :-? I'll go with Half Blood Prince, since I haven't gotten around to reading it, yet, and am fairly certain that I'd enjoy the read. |
What is your least favorite pizza topping? | I'll go with anchovies. Bit salty for my taste, and it tends to overwhelm anything else on the pizza... |
If you had to estimate, which of your books have you read the most? | If I had to guess, likely Dragons of Autumn Twilight, since it's the longest-owned in this current incarnation of my book collection. |
Which book have you read the least? | Well, I haven't started Gifts, yet, so it'd have to be that one. /:-) |
You've been itching to read a particular book, which comes to mind immediately? | Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman |
Have I asked enough questions about books yet? | No such thing as too many questions about books! o_0 |
What is your best fandom experience? If you've not been inovled in fandoms before, why not? | I've not really gotten involved in fandoms. Back when it was new, I did enjoy reading Gargoyles fanfic, and a little Dragonlance, but aside from that... I just prefer to enjoy my loves privately for the most part, I suppose... :-? |
What has been your *worst* fandom experience? If you aren't involved, would you consider being involved in any? Which? | Once again, not involved... I suppose I am curious about some of those HP fanfics... I've heard strange things. :-
What is your favorite number? | 13, 9, 3, 42, and 23 |
What television series have you seen in reruns, and wished you'd seen as it came out? | Nothing on TV comes to mind :-? I would've liked to see a performance of Phantom of the Opera with its original cast. Oooh! Hair too! /:-) |
Which tv series do you currently watch, and think "I should wait until this is all out" while you're waiting for the next episode? | Nothing I currently watch. I thought that watching both Six Feet Under, and Carnivale. I still think that now, especially as I had to miss a few episodes. |
What is your least favorite movie? Why? | Tough one. :-? If I'm in the right mood when I watch it, I can find things I like about nearly any movie. Ah! Got it! Anything by Uwe Boll! (Unless you're drunk at a party and everyone's making fun of it a la MST3K. ) |
Would you watch pornographic material in mixed company? Why or why not? | Mixed, as in people I knew wouldn't enjoy it? Probably not. Well, unless it was someone I really thought was too uptight for thier own good. |
Do you like your job? Why or why not? | Mostly. It's 3rd shift, I get to watch TV, read, surf the internet, sew or work on other projects if I want so long as I do the work too, and I usually get the days off I ask for. My bosses can be assholes sometimes, but I think it's worth putting up with that, overall. |
Have you ever desperately wished to be someone else? Who? | Not really... Just to be (sometimes better versions of) myself in other situations... |
Have you ever desperately wished to live in some alternate reality? What is it the alternate reality you wish for like? | I'd be curious to see what it might be like in a world almost identical to this one, only where "magic" was a bit more obvious (read "like movie magic") and where all of those pretty mythological creatures were equally obvious/existant/however-you-prefer-to-see-it. |
Should I ask more yes or no questions? | N o, thats boring. (Echoing Emmay on this one.) |
Did you like school as a child? As a teenager? As an adult? | As a kid: Enjoyed it until the other kids decided being smart and liking books and art was worthy of cruelty. As a teenager: New school, new county, new people. It was an improvement, though mention of particular authority figure still brings out feelings of strong animosity in me. I was essentailly tried for witchcraft my freshman year. Funny story; ask me about it sometime. And then of course there was the bit where they ruined the life of a friend of mine for being a goth-type after the Columbine thing.) As an adult: Planning to get more. Rather hungry for it, actually. |
Say something snarky about the person you ganked this from. | Emmay has funny toes. :-| (Actually, I couldn't think of anything....) |
Cheese? | Mmmmmmm, Brie, goat cheese, Havarti and dill.... Yummmmm =P~ |
What is your absolute most unattainable dream? Why is it unattainable? | To be a performer in Cirque du Soleil. I can't bend that way. :-
What is your most achievable goal? How close are you to achieving it? | To have a happy, long, at least reasonably prosperous life with Aurey. It's quite do-able. /:-) |
Do you prefer restaurant food? Or homemade? | Enh... They both have their merits. It depends on my mood. :-? |
Chocolate or vanilla? | Vanilla, with interesting toppings. |
Beer or liquor? | Liquor. Can't stand the taste of beer. Some liquors are actually rather pleasant. |
Plot or Porn? | Depends on my mood. |
Being productive or procrastinating? | Productive! |
Sleeping or watching tv? | Depends on what's on. |
Latest from A Softer World down there. I feel like that sometimes, and it's comforting to think that it's often little more than $20 for a one-way train ticket to Chicago from here. ;-P I used to dream about running away when I was little, building a little cabin in the woods and living there away from everybody, or finding a cave, or an old boxcar on an abandoned railroad track overgrown with green leafy vines. There was rumour of a tiny abandoned town deep in the country near my grandparents' house, and I'd fantasize about finding it and being the only person to live there. Empty places like that fascinate me. Vacant buildings, unused rooms, small town streets at 3 a.m.
Actually, today was a rather decent one. Mom had a job interview, and while grocery shopping at the local Bastion of Evil, I found a black lace skirt on clearance for $7. I'm debating on whether to leave it alone or do something creative to it :-? It's kinda thin and semi-transparent if the light hits right, so I may add some sort of knee-length overskirt, gathered up at one side with a little silk flower or something of the sort. :-? Saw something similar on the Gypsy Moon site once, and thought it was awfully pretty...
