You scored as Character Player. The Character Player enjoys creating in-depth characters with distinct and rich personalities. He identifies closely with his characters, feeling detached from the game if he doesnât. He takes creative pride in exploring different characters, often making each new one radically different than others he's played. The Character Player bases his decisions on his character's psychology first and foremost. He may view rules as a necessary evil at best, preferring sessions in which the dice never come out of their bags. For the Character Player, the greatest reward comes from experiencing the game from the emotional perspective of an interesting character.

Sounds dead-on, really, and yes to it being closely followed by Storyteller.  Is it any wonder why I like a good play-by-post best of all? ;-)

Well, not exactly true, as I also got an extra night visiting with Aurey and all that entails, which makes it all well worth it. ;-*

So yes, the great adventure, this visit, was that I missed my train home Monday night due to the fact that Amtrak seems to have decided that it's okay to move the boarding gate around willy nilly and not tell the people waiting in line to get on their train.  (And they'd been so reliable about keeping it the same on previous trips.)  So, I located the correct gate (which was two down from where it usually was) a minute after the train left.  This then resulted in me running to the ticket desk to find out that, as I'd suspected, that was the only train until the next day, and (fun-fun-fun) that it would require more money than I had (which was none by then)  to trade in my ticket on a new one for the next day.  So, I then ran to find the payphones to call Aurey (who I'd assumed was already on his train back to LaGrange) and leave a message asking if he'd mind coming back to Union Station to get me.  On the way I noticed that said train to LaGrange hadn't left yet. So I leaped aboard--no money for a ticket there in hand either--fully intending to find the nearest conductor if I couldn't locate Aurey right away, and inform said conductor that they were going to help me find Aurey, or they were going to get clobbered with my nice big heavy suitcase. (Which was the best offer I could come up with, being under a bit of stress and all, y'know.)

Fortunately, Aurey was in the first passenger car I went through. We spent a lovely extra night together, and then, when I went to get on the train the next day, they'd moved the ruddy gates again, so we almost got a repeat of the whole scenario.

Other than that, marvelous visit.  Aurey was by far the best one in the play. His singing was magnificent and I was only too happy to go both nights of that weekend to see him.   Between play business we spent most of our time watching movies, talking and... well...  you know... a lot.... Bedposts can be such useful things... >:-)

We did find the time to go and see The Prestige, which turned out to be very good, with a bit of a mindbender for an ending.  We wound up having the entire theater to ourselves, but we behaved I promise. O:-)

We also puttered around the Borders for a while and picked up a couple things, including  the BBC miniseries of Neverwhere (which was good but not perfect... The book is fabulous).  I swear that store could probably tempt my soul right out of my body what with all the bazillions of books and movies and music and books... Did I mention books? :-|  We also had some absolutely scrumptious Thai food, and Aurey made his mouth-watering omelettes twice.   :-P~

Well, bugger, I'd intended to wrap this up with a list of thankful things like everyone else was doing today, but it's almost time to get off work and I've been very distracted.  *looks pointedly at Aurey*

I'll list the thankful things tonight, I guess.  :-|
