Spring hath sprungeth
Mar. 10th, 2006 10:52 pmKnow how I know?
1. The starlings are swarming again. (And I love when they do that.) It reminds me of The Birds, only without all the attacking. Much creepiness and no-one gets hurt. Win-win situation. ;-P It's great to be walking home and see the treetops black and heavy with them, and the sound of their wings when they fly over runs a shiver up my spine.
2. Floodwaters from a nice three day rain has screwed with the entire town's gas lines, so now a lot of people are without heat or hot water. We have the good fortune of electric heaters, but (joy of joys) we still get to take icy showers. Invigorating, ladies and gennlemen!
In other news, due to my inability to sleep earlier today ('Nother one of those "hatching" headache-ish things I mentioned awhile back) I watched a pre-code I hadn't seen before, but had heard of. Bed of Roses with Constance Bennett. Huzzah for gold-diggers, sex and romance!
