Hats off

I have a minor passion for hats. (Something I inherited from Mom.) I'm planning a shopping trip soon (no bills to pay with this paycheck) and wanted to see what's available online. I had no idea a decent hat was so expensive!! 8-0
I'm used to getting them for $10 or less from the antique mall, and the good ones are $80 or more brand new! *shakes head* It's crazy! I'll never complain about those nifty hats in Bloomington being $30 again, that's for certain! :-P

Howard Hughes

There was a time when all I knew about Howard Hughes was what I picked up from a certain song by Rasputina and from a Malkavian I knew who he used to haunt (don't ask). But... no more. I have seen... The Aviator. Good, good movie, that. Mind, I now need to read up on the fellow to see how accurate the movie is, but, if it is... I think I rather like the old bugger...
Also, I feel I should say: Cate Blanchett made an absolutely smashing Katharine Hepburn, and they also used the Tocata en Fugue in D Minor as part of the score. God/ess, I ~love~ the Toccata en Fugue! :-D
