I /wish/ they had things like that in Wal-Mart! Here's a place that has some pretty cool stuff kinda like that, though. /:-)

OMG-G-GAWD!!

Those are HANDMADE!!!! I can tell since a buncha seamstresses reside within my family (my ma bein' one of them!) And I wonder how the heck they'd get those to fit 'just so'? Gorgeous! I like the Dracula's Bride gown - very slinky and very like me! Tho you think they'd make it in blood red or deep purple?? hmmm... Thanks for the link, Ori.

np, I'm always drooling over their work. ^_^ I've sewn a thing or two in my time, and could probably manage the simpler ones, but O to be able to do something as elaborate as that Midnight Bustle outfit... *swoons*

True, they really should have the Bride gown available in red or purple too. The only thing I can think is maybe they kept it in black and white in homage to the old movies. :-?

X-D Then you've never met anyone I've talked to. I tend to point them out to anyone who I think might like it.

I was originally drawn to your journal because of your beautiful icon work. Were some of them from the "Sandman" comics. I liked your calling card, and the fey dancing through the woods photograph, anyway you seemed interesting so I added you as a friend. I hope you add me back.

By all means, let the friending commence! ;-)

I've done a little Sandman work, yes (as well as the work of the marvelous Dave McKean). Welcome! I'm glad you like my icons. One of these days I'll have to post some serious (heh, as serious as I get anyway) art. ^_^

I haven't tried working with a scanner yet, but I've been curious to since I found out Maggie Taylor (the victorian faery up there is hers) uses one in her work. :-?

This has nothing to do with anything, but your Lovecraft icon made me laugh and laugh and laugh and scream and laugh.

Carry on.

*grins* Yeah, I still get a kick out of that one too, lol. Xenogram (also on my flist) made it one night in response to a post in Necronomiphiles. I have a particular fondness for Lovecraft's writing, so I couldn't resist it.

(A tip of the hat to your Ludwig icon too, btw. I had the priviledge of seeing Neuschwanstein some years ago, and it was a breathtaking place.)

I'm intrigued.
I'm not usually that interesting to people that don't know me as a friend of a friend or in real life. Was this as a result of my natterings in [livejournal.com profile] transgender?

The image is beautiful... and it makes the quote seem all the more poignant somehow.

:-) It's from a set by the aptly-named icon_goddess. I love when the sky really looks like that, and big beautiful old trees, so I had to put it up.

I think the quote is rather univerally relatable. No one winds up exactly where they planned, but there's generally a good reason for it.

Ahem. Puppetmaster Amanda here for a moment.

I love love love that quote. And Kambriel...ahh. I've bought several things from her and they are my prized posessions. I wore the Fianna Rose gown to my senior prom. *grin*

Y'know, I keep meaning to add you-as-you, but I never seem to get around to it... /:-)

Douglas Adams is one of my top ten favourite authors (though I do still need to finish reading the Hitchiker series). His ability to mix depth and humour as with the quote is one of the main reasons why.

I haven't actually ordered anything from Kambriel's yet, but I have no doubt I'll cumble eventually. The Theda Gown has been steadily tempting me for a very long time...

Heya! I was actually wondering about you, the other day. Are you ever on AIM? It's where I seem to be, for the most part. (Same name as here.)

Terrible Christian, eh? Being as I've never really considered myself one, I can hardly judge you one way or another on that... /:-)

Hope all's otherwise well with you.
